I thought I could see a light
I dreamed so hard that I died
Smeared across the purple sky
Were the fingers of past lives
Wiping those tearful goodbyes
From mouths too tired to sigh
I will hold them in my mind
Until I walk into the night
And it never ends
You kept my body so warm
As you held me in your arms
Wrapped up tight since I was born
Pressed against your gentle form
Though you kept me safe from harm
I cried 'til my throat was sore
Tell me what this world is for
To be here and then no more
Though it never ends
I thought that I could feel you
And dreams really do come true
Used love thinking it was new
Even though it was past due
Without a warning you flew
To perch high in the sky blue
As you disappeared from view
I could feel the cold renew
Cold that never ends
Tiny explosions in your eyes
I cannot reach a thing so high
Lest fires drop straight from the sky
It used to rain when you would cry
You incinerated these wings
Taught this bird to be scared to sing
Now Icarus sits a poor thing
The pride and downfall of a king
Rising from the ashes and flame
Feeling so old yet born again
Beyond the suffering and pain
I hear a familiar refrain
Sunshine
The Horizon
Never Ends
All light that will descend rises again
Sunshine
The Horizon
Never Ends
Life repeats after death, plays infinite

Really impressed with this album and the Days Between Stations' other material. The Billy Sherwood influence is clear on this record, which I enjoy, While not as complex as their earlier albums, DBS are able to write beautiful modern compositions with one eye on the past paying homage to prog masters of yesterday.
