The world is wide when I am by your side
But you remain so far away from me
If I could run through the stars to the sun
To your arms I would fly ever fiercely
Standing on your soapbox feeling so justified
Though an empty bed you crawl into every night
Like fire and water we should never be
Draw your lines in earth and in the air
Your bowstring is drawn and arching over everyone
Like a hunter stalking prey, silent as prayer
Standing on your soapbox feeling so justified
Though an empty bed you crawl into every night
For every wrong you make yourself believe that you're right
And the emptiness will expand and fill your life
Now let your arrows fly and send my body to the horizon
A wound that tore us asunder
Sits now a scar amongst the stars
Obscures the “here” from the “out there”
Deep love becomes trenches of war
This world is just so wide
Please let your arrows fly
An emptiness so wide
You let your arrows fly
I feel you
Wrap your arms around me
In you, my light, I can believe
On high you shine
Diamond in the sky
Upon me shed your light divine

Really impressed with this album and the Days Between Stations' other material. The Billy Sherwood influence is clear on this record, which I enjoy, While not as complex as their earlier albums, DBS are able to write beautiful modern compositions with one eye on the past paying homage to prog masters of yesterday.
